Confidentiality

It is understood that the counseling relationship will be confidential, maintaining the highest ethical standards in the best interest of the student. The guidance department follows the Ethical Standards for School Counselors as outlined by the American School Counselor Association.  Information remains confidential unless a student is in imminent danger to self or others, or is in imminent danger from another person.  We may consult with other professionals if we determine that it is in the best interest of the student to do so.

Lending Library

Please visit the Lending Library for numerous resources covering a wide variety of topics.  If you have specific concerns and would like recommendations on resources for yourself or to read with your child please contact me. Also, if you wish to borrow a specific book from the Lending Library, please contact me at the Primary School.

Kelso's Wheel
We are using this tool to help students learn how to solve their problems. We ask students to try two choices from Kelso's Wheel to solve a small problem before getting an adult involved.
